What types of pets do you see?
Dr. Koh is board-certified in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in animals.
We treat pets recovering from injury, surgery, or age-related issues, as well as those with unexplained pain or limping that other vets haven’t been able to identify. We work closely with your veterinarian and other specialists, and if your pet requires surgery or further procedures, we can facilitate referrals to neurology, surgery, or other specialties.
Dr. Koh also offers advanced integrative and holistic care for pets with internal medical conditions such as:
- Gastrointestinal diseases (chronic vomiting, chronic diarrhea, , gastritis, inflammatory bowel disease, constipation, megacolon, megaesophagus, fecal incontinence, pancreatitis, etc.)
- Skin diseases (atopy, allergies, hot spots, chronic itchiness, etc.)
- Nephrology and urology diseases (chronic kidney disease, urinary tract infection, cystitis, urinary incontinence etc.)
- Heart diseases
- Respiratory diseases (chronic rhinitis, congestion, bronchitis, pneumonia, laryngeal paralysis, etc.)
- Hepatobiliary diseases (liver disease, increased liver enzymes, gallbladder mucocele, etc.)
- Endocrinology diseases (diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Cushing’s disease, Addison’s disease, etc.)
How can I schedule an appointment for my pet?
You do not need to be referred from your veterinarian. Although we do prefer referrals by veterinarian, many pet owners come on their own to explore the benefits of rehabilitation, integrative medicine, pain mamagemet, or palliative care for their pets.
We work closely with your primary veterinarian. We often communicate with your veterinarian regarding your pet’s diagnostic findings and treatment plan.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Before your appointment, we will email you the New Patient Intake Form, Functional Questionnaire, and Appointment Checklist & Policy. These forms must be completed and returned via email at least 3 days prior to the appointment.
During the appointment, Dr. Koh will evaluate your pet with you present. Using a Fear Free approach, he will conduct a thorough examination, including a physical, neurological, musculoskeletal, and rehabilitation assessment. After identifying any issues, Dr. Koh will review the diagnostic and treatment options that are best suited for your pet and address any questions you may have. A digital medical record will be emailed to you following the appointment.
